The Schönbuch with 15564 hectares is the largest contiguous forest in Württemberg.
At the northern outskirts of Tübingen extends a variety of hiking and walking trails for short or long trips or breaks from everyday branch. Among to the almost completely preserved former Cistercian Monastery of Bebenhausen, founded in 1183/1184, the Schloss Bebenhausen, the former seat ot the Kings of Württemberg, invites to a guided visitation. The 40 km² large Deer Park reminiscent of the former hunting ground of the Kings and Dukes of Württemberg.
